How We Met

We met while attending Rochester Institute of Technology in 2015. I (Andrew) wanted to get more involved on campus, and noticed that Student Government was doing a lot of good work with the student body. I also happened to notice that there were quite a few girls involved in SG. It paid off, since I ended up meeting the perfect one for me – we hit it off right away, and that shared experience forged a strong base for our relationship. Our love has only grown since then. However, once Andrea got elected as Vice President, my time in SG had to come to an end – she would have been my boss professionally too!

The Long Awaited Engagement…

I (Andrea) knew after only a few months of dating that Andrew was the guy that I would end up marrying. I knew I needed a strong partner to keep up with me on the day-to-day and Andrew was the perfect person for that. (I think the flowers and peanut m&ms that arrived when I was having super rough days were just a bonus.)

After dropping hints for a while, I eventually broke Andrew down and he told me he was making the engagement ring himself.

Making the ring?! It’s definitely special. I also knew that special would take time. And that I needed to be patient. So after practicing my patience for about two years, Andrew proposed on Thanksgiving Day 2018 with all of our family and friends in town. I can definitely say it was worth the wait.
